A seed metering system (44) for metering a plurality of seeds includes a meter housing (52) having a first side (52A) and a second side (52B). A seed inlet (62) is positioned at the first side (54A) and an aperture (58) is positioned at the second side (52B). The seed metering system further includes a hub (66) mounted within the aperture (58), a retaining member (98) located at the hub (66), and a metering member (54) positioned on the hub (66). The metering member (54) compressively engages the retaining member (98).
