PURPOSE: A reagent for cell preservation in cytological or histological diagnosis is provided to optimize cell preservation and fixation and to enable long term preservation. CONSTITUTION: A composition containing sputum for cytological preservation and fixation of cells in fluid contains 100 weight parts of ethyl alcohol, 8-15 weight parts of acetone, 0.1-0.5 weight part of PEG 6000 as an adhesive, 1-5 weight parts of glycerol, 1.5-6 weight parts of formaldehyde, 2-10 weight parts of monosodium phosphate anhydrous, 3-11 weight parts of disodium phosphate anhydrous, 1-5 weight parts of acetic acid, 0.01-0.05 weight parts of triton X, and 0.01-0.05 weight parts of sodium azide.발명은 세포학적 또는 조직학적 진단에 있어서 세포보존을 위한 검사용 시약에 관한 것이다. 보다 상세하게는 조직세포의 세포학적 진단을 위해 세포의 변성 및 건조 기타 부패를 방지하기 위한 시료 조성물로서 세포의 세포학적 보존 및 고정을 위한 조성물에 있어서,에틸알코올 100 중량부와；상기 에틸알코올 100 중량부를 기준으로 아세톤(Acetone) 8 내지 15 중량부；PEG 6000 0.1 내지 0.5 중량부；글리세롤 1 내지 5 중량부；포름알데하이드 1.5 내지 6 중량부；제 1 인산나트륨 2 내지 10 중량부；제 2 인산나트륨 3 내지 11 중량부；아세트산(acetic acid) 1 내지 5 중량부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 세포 검사용 보존시약 조성물을 기본적 조성으로 하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
