The invention relates to oleuropein compositions for healing wounds and ulcers in the elderly and/or diabetics, relating to a new use of oleuropein for treatment to heal wounds and ulcers in persons of advanced age or the elderly and/or diabetics.Particularly, the present invention specifically relates to compositions containing oleuropein as the only active ingredient for treatment to heal wounds and ulcers in persons of advanced age, the elderly and/or diabetics selected from the group consisting of: diabetic foot, pressure ulcer and venous ulcers.In a particular embodiment of the present invention, the compositions contain oleuropein with a degree of purity of at least 30%, preferably between 41.5% and 100%, specifically 41.5% and 80%, as the only active ingredient for the treatment to heal wounds and ulcers in a specific group of patients such as persons of advanced age, the elderly and/or diabetics, selected from the group consisting of: diabetic foot, pressure ulcer and venous ulcers.
