PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire in which a tip end part is excellent in flexibility, excellent in trackability to a blood vessel, and is excellent in a transmission characteristic of minute information such as resistance when the tip end part contacts to a wall surface of a blood vessel or the like for sliding and resistance when the tip end part hits against a constricted part.SOLUTION: A guide wire includes a core shaft and a coil body 1 that covers a tip end part of the core shaft.
