PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition having a recombinant virus containing ADC(human arginine decarboxylase) gene is provided to suppress apoptosis-related gene or protein expression and to prevent or treat brain diseases. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating brain diseases contains pharmaceutically effective amount of recombinant virus having ABD gene, and pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The recombinant virus is retrovirus, adenovirus, adeno-associated viru(AAV), lentivirus, or herpers simplex virus.
