PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label for releasing a volatile constituent, that prevents release of a volatile constituent until the use, has high feeling of use during the use, and is easily manufactured with a general device, and to provide a method of manufacturing the label.SOLUTION: The label 1 for releasing a volatile constituent includes first adhesive layer 11, substrate 12, and printing layer 13 sequentially from a peeling sheet 2 side, has a peeling layer 14 in the region from the outer rim of the substrate 12 to a predetermined distance. A second adhesive layer 15 as a volatile constituent retention layer containing a volatile constituent and a permeation control layer 16 are stacked sequentially in the region of the substrate 12 having no peeling layer 14.
