A surgical access device, comprising: a housing forming a working channel having such a size and configuration to receive a surgical instrument; an insufflation port formed in the housing and configured to supply insufflation gas to the working channel; a seal located inside the housing and located proximally to insufflation port, and the seal is made to receive a surgical instrument passing through the working channel; and a device for removing liquid placed inside the body and located distally to the insufflation port, the device for removing liquid has an outer perimeter mounted inside the case, and a central hole made for receiving surgical instruments through it, and the device for removing liquid is made to allow passage insufflation gas through it when the tool closes the center hole. 2. The surgical access device of claim 1, wherein the fluid removal device comprises a scraper configured to collect fluid from surgical instruments inserted through a central opening.
