The present invention discloses an apparatus for brain computer interface. The apparatus includes a feature extraction filter trainer which trains a feature extraction filter that minimizes the effect of background brain wave and maximizes the differences of target brain wave； and a classifier trainer which trains a classifier for classifying the target brain wave, by using a feature vector obtained by filtering the target brain wave with the feature extraction filter. Accordingly, when using a device every time, only the background brain wave can be measured additionally. The recyclability of existing brain wave data can be improved and the brain wave can be classified quickly and accurately.본 발명에서는, 배경뇌파의 영향은 최소화하고, 목적뇌파의 차이점은 최대화하는 특징추출필터를 훈련하는 특징추출필터 훈련기； 및 상기 특징추출필터로 상기 목적뇌파를 필터링하여 얻은 특징벡터를 이용하여, 상기 목적뇌파를 분류하는 분류기를 훈련하는 분류기 훈련기가 포함되는 브레인 컴퓨터 인터페이스를 위한 장치를 개시한다. 이에 따르면 매번 장치를 사용 시, 배경뇌파만을 추가적으로 측정하여 기존 목적뇌파 데이터의 재활용성을 높이고, 신속하고 정확하게 뇌파를 분류할 수 있다.
