A method for designing a virtual prosthesis in an edentulous area according to an embodiment comprises the steps of: generating a three-dimensional oral model based on oral scan data； determining an edentulous area in the three-dimensional oral model； and designing a virtual prosthesis in the edentulous area. The step of designing the virtual prosthesis comprises the steps of: designing an upper portion of the virtual prosthesis； and designing a phonetic base of the virtual prosthesis corresponding to a shape of the edentulous area.
