PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent increasing an outside diameter dimension over a comparatively long distance in a longitudinal direction and to improve insertability into a body cavity and operability.SOLUTION: A therapeutic ultrasonic adapter 1 comprises: a housing 3 that is detachably attached to a diagnostic ultrasonic endoscope 8 which includes a diagnostic ultrasonic transducer 11 arranged at a tip of an insertion section 9 insertable into a body and also includes a channel 12 provided in a longitudinal direction of the insertion section 9 and opening to a base end side of the diagnostic ultrasonic transducer 11 a therapeutic ultrasonic transducer 4 that is fixed to the housing 3 and emits a densely-focused therapeutic ultrasonic wave to a focal point P that is arranged in an imaging range of the diagnostic ultrasonic transducer 11 and a cable 5 that supplies a signal to the therapeutic ultrasonic transducer 4.
