A carrying assembly (1a) for attaching a tool (6) to an agricultural machine (15). The carrying assembly (1a) comprises a carrier frame (1) mountable to an attachment block on the machine (1);, a sub frame (2) suspended from the carrier frame (1) by two links (3,4) wherein each link( 3,4) is pivotally attached at opposing ends to the carrier frame (1) and the sub frame (2) respectively to form a first four bar linkage,characterised in tha said sub frame (2) forms a second four bar linkage when a tool (6) is attached to the assembly (1a), said second four bar linkage comprising two members (7a, 8a/7b, 8b) pivotally attached at one end to the tool (6) and at the other end to the sub frame (2) and wherein movement of either of the four bar linkages results in movement of the other four bar linkage to adjust the height of the tool (6) above the ground.
