Methods for treating diseases associated with CXCL13 expression, including certain autoimmune and inflammatory diseases such as Sjogrens syndrome are provided herein. The methods comprise administering to a subject in need thereof an effective amount of an agent that inhibits CXCL13 activity. According to aspects of the invention illustrated herein, there is provided a method of treating, preventing, or reducing the exacerbation of a B-cell-mediated inflammatory condition in a subject, including administering to a subject an effective amount of an isolated binding molecule which specifically binds to CXCL13, wherein said molecule prevents or inhibits CXCL13 activity.
