PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article with a flap, for reducing pressurization to the skin of a wearer.SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 has an absorbent core 5 disposed between a top sheet 3 and a back sheet 4 and includes an absorber 2 having a longitudinal direction and a width direction and flaps 6 provided on both sides in the width direction of the absorbent core 5 and raised toward the skin of the wearer. The flap 6 is constituted of a sheet member 11 and an elastic member 12, and includes a fixed part 7 bonded to the absorber 2, a free end part 9 to be in contact with the skin of the wearer, and an erection part 8 positioned between the fixed part 7 and the free end part 9. The elastic member 12 extending in the longitudinal direction is disposed at the upper end of the erection part 8. At the free end part 9, the sheet member 11 is folded back to form two or more loops 10 on a width direction cross section, and the elastic member is not disposed.
