The invention relates to an apparatus for shredding, crushing and sucking up waste from lawns and gardens. It relates to an apparatus which comprises a casing, a motor, a flat disc (42), a shredding blade mounted on one side of the disc, a shredder inlet passage (18), an anvil supported by the casing in proximity to the blade, several generally radial vanes (43) mounted on the other side of the disc, and a cover (28). The casing has a peripheral wall and a rear upper outlet (13), the wall forming a curve of general spiral shape so that the air coming from the inlet end of the air passage is projected by the vanes through the rear upper outlet (13) of the casing.
