PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more shorten a pulse width upon synthesizing light of a plurality of pulse lasers in an optical acoustic measurement.SOLUTION: A subject information acquisition device includes: first and second laser output units that output first and second pulse lasers； a laser control unit that controls each laser output unit； first and second detection units that detect light emitting timing of each pulse laser, and output first and second detection signals, respectively； a probe that receives an acoustic wave generating from a subject irradiated with each pulse laser； and a signal processing unit that acquires characteristic information on an interior of the subject on the basis of the acoustic wave.
