PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheath for an endoscope easily inserted into a stenosed body cavity.
SOLUTION: The sheath 12 for the endoscope has a sheath body 14 having a hollow portion 18 into which the endoscope is introduced so as to be able to move forward and rearward, a flexible bag-like portion 24 formed in the distal end portion of the sheath body 14 and closing the distal end portion of the hollow portion 18, an inserting and drawing hole 30 formed eccentrically relative to the center axis C of the sheath body 14 in the bag-like portion 24 and into or from which the endoscope is inserted or drawn, and a deforming portion 32 which keeps at least a part located at an opposite side of the inserting and drawing hole 30 relative to the center axis C and at the proximal end side of the inserting and drawing hole 30 in the bag-like portion 24 and which can be more easily deformed than the other portion of the bag-like portion 24.
