The present invention relates to an apparatus for automatically treating excrement which can supply warm washing water from the initial cleansing operation in a bidet and a control method thereof. The apparatus for automatically treating the excrement according to the present invention comprises: a mounting unit (1) for receiving excrement of a patient a control unit (2) having a washing water supply part (50) for supplying the washing water for washing the excrement and the bidet to the mounting unit (1) and a washing water supply path which is connected from the washing water supply part (50) to the mounting unit (1).
