An optometry device for testing an individual's eye comprises: - a casing (2)； - an imaging module (10) located in the casing and adapted to produce a light beam (B) directed to the individual's eye； and - a refraction module (30) adapted to provide a variable optical correction to the individual's eye looking therethrough into the casing. The optometry device comprises an illumination system (60)adapted to produce a variable ambient light level inside the casing.La présente invention concerne un dispositif d'optométrie, destiné à tester l'œil d'un individu, qui comprend : - un boîtier (2) ； - un module d'imagerie (10) situé dans le boîtier et conçu pour produire un faisceau lumineux (B) dirigé vers l'œil de l'individu ； et - un module de réfraction (30) conçu pour fournir une correction optique variable à l'œil de l'individu qui regarde à travers celui-ci dans le boîtier. Le dispositif d'optométrie comprend un système d'éclairage (60) conçu pour produire un niveau de lumière ambiante variable à l'intérieur du boîtier.
