The present inventor has found through experiments using colitis model mice that siRNA that suppresses the expression of the CHST15 gene has a therapeutic effect on Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. That is, the present inventors have found that siRNA that suppresses the expression of the CHST15 gene can be a mucosal healing promoter, particularly a therapeutic agent for Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis.本発明者は、大腸炎モデルマウスを用いた実験により、CHST15遺伝子の発現を抑制するsiRNAが、クローン病もしくは潰瘍性大腸炎に対して治療効果を奏することを見出した。即ち、CHST15遺伝子の発現を抑制するsiRNAは粘膜治癒促進剤、特に、クローン病もしくは潰瘍性大腸炎の治療剤となることを見出し、本発明を完成させた。
