It is an object of the present invention to provide a body-insertable apparatus whose capsule-like casing can be further downsized without degrading the antenna characteristics. Transmitting antennas (27a, 27b) arranged inside imaging domes (15a, 15b) and outside the imaging fields of view allow antenna arrangement in an unused space in the capsule-like casing (15) without any disturbance to the imaging operations of imaging units (12a, 12b). Besides, the transmitting antennas (27a, 27b) arranged outside the imaging fields of view, which form outwardly-expanding opening unobstructed by other units in the imaging domes (15a, 15b), secures a desirable antenna characteristic, such as a wide directionality, without being negatively affected by other housed components of the capsule-like casing (15).
