An oral care composition comprising: a carrier acceptable for oral use, an effective therapeutic amount of an antibacterial compound, a mixture of an anionic surfactant and amphoteric surfactant, wherein the anionic surfactant is ethoxylated sodium lauryl sulfate, wherein this mixture has from 0.1 wt.% to 2.0 wt.% anionic surfactant based on the weight of the composition and from 0.8 wt.% to 2.0 wt.% amphoteric surface but-active agent based on the weight of the composition, isoedinenie releasing kaliya.2 ion. An oral care composition according to claim 1, wherein said antibacterial compound comprises a halogenated diphenyl ether.
