The present invention relates to a composition for preventing skin from contamination, containing a Camellia japonica flower extract. The composition of the present invention comprises a steamed extract of Camellia japonica flower, or a composite extract mixed with the steamed extract of Camellia japonica flower and a residue of the steamed extract of Camellia japonica flower, and inhibits activities of collagenase in fibroblasts induced by environmental contaminants or natural factors, and increases production of collagen and expression of dermal-epidermal junction (DEJ) proteins, thereby showing effects of preventing skin from contamination and improving skin condition thereby.
