PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire which is made compatible for the flexibility and the bending strength of the tip of the guide wire and which is improved in the fastness of the guide wire.SOLUTION: A guide wire 1 comprises: a core 2 an outer coil body 3 for covering at lest the tip of the core 2 an inner coil body 4 arranged on the inner side of the outer coil body 3 and covering the core 2 a leading end chip 5 for fixing the tip of the core 2 and the tip of the outer coil body 3 and an inner base end fixing portion 7 for fixing the base end of the inner coil body 4 and the core 2. The inner coil body 4 is a multi-row coil body formed of a plurality of strands.
