The present invention relates to an ophthalmic composition using a nanoemulsion drug delivery system containing lutein. The nanoemulsion is uniformly dispersed even in an aqueous solution at a particle size of 10-12 nm to exhibit a transparent and stable liquid state and the release of the lutein drug is conferment to be maintained for 144 hours. Therefore, the nanoemulsion can be used as an ophthalmic composition for an eye drop. The self-forming nanoemulsion according to the present invention is excellent in stability and solubility of lutein, and the lutein solid formulation manufactured using the same is confirmed to have high reproducibility in the aqueous solution and sustained drug release effect, and thus can be used as an effective oral ophthalmic composition.본 발명은 루테인을 함유하는 나노에멀전 약물전달 시스템을 이용한 안과용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 상기 나노에멀전은 10 내지 12 nm 입자크기로 수용액 상에서도 균일하게 분산되어 투명하고 안정한 액체 상태를 나타내었으며, 루테인 약물 방출이 144시간까지 유지되는 것이 확인됨에 따라, 상기 나노에멀전은 점안용 안과 조성물로 사용될 수 있으며, 본 발명에 따른 자가형성 나노에멀전은 안정성 및 루테인 용해도가 우수하였으며 이를 이용하여 제조된 루테인 고체 제형은 수용액 상에서 높은 재현성 및 지속적인 약물 방출 효과를 나타내는 것이 확인됨에 따라, 효과적인 경구용 안과 조성물로 사용될 수 있다.
