Machine for the pneumatic discharge of granular material, which is designed as a mounted machine and which is equipped with a central supply container and with pipelines which partially project considerably beyond the supply container transversely relative to the direction of travel and to which the material is fed from the container via metering devices driven by variable-speed gears, the supply container being subdivided at least in its lower region into two portions by means of a roof-shaped middle part. In order, whilst preserving the compact design of the machine and the centre of gravity located near the tractor, to obtain as large a capacity of the supply container as possible and, at the same time, to make larger spreading widths of the machine possible, the blower (7) is located at least essentially under the roof-shaped middle part and the drive shaft (15) of the blower (7) is located on the side of the blower (7) facing the direction of travel (8), the drive members (15, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24) being arranged essentially under the roof-shaped middle part, and the metering elements (12) respectively extending at least approximately over the entire lower length (L) of the container, as seen in the direction of travel (8). <IMAGE>
