Extended release tablet formulation containing pramipexole or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, method for manufacturing the same and use thereof
Disclosed is an extended release tablet formulation comprising pramipexole or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof in a matrix comprising one water swelling polymer other than pregelatinized starch, which is a hydrophilic water swelling anionic polymer and which constitutes the extended release matrix, wherein said water swelling anionic polymer may be selected from the group of acrylic acid polymerisate, methacrylic acid copolymers, alginates, carrageenans, acacia, xanthan gum, carmellose sodium and carmellose calcium. These tablets are used for the treatment of Parkinsons disease and complications or disorders associated therewith.
