The present invention relates to an antimicrobial composition which exhibits an effect of improving the shelf life of a food and securing the safety of an appliance in contact with food. The antimicrobial composition of the present invention is low in cost and excellent in antibacterial activity, so that freshness of food can be maintained for a long time.
