A portable sterilization device adapted to cover on a container includes a casing, a UV light module, a light sensor and an electronic module. The casing includes a body, a chamber surrounded by the body and a supporting structure protruding from the body. The UV light module, the light sensor and the electronic module are disposed in the chamber. The electronic module is electrically connected to the UV light module and the light sensor. When the portable sterilization device covers on the container, the supporting structure or the body contacts an edge of the container. The UV light module and the light sensor are located in a space surrounded by the casing and the container, the light sensor does not receive an outer light, so that the UV light module is driven by the electronic module.
