PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibody drug conjugate (ADC) containing a small molecule Bcl-xL inhibitor and a small molecule Bcl-xL inhibitor. An antibody drug conjugate (ADC) comprising a drug linked to an antibody by a linker, wherein the drug provides an ADC of structural formula (IIa). The ADC is useful for inhibiting the anti-apoptotic Bcl xL protein as a therapeutic approach for the treatment of diseases associated with the dysregulated apoptotic pathway.
