597929 Disclosed herein are insecticidal 4-amino-thieno[2,3-d]-pyrimidine compounds of formula I, enantiomers, diastereomers or agriculturally or veterinary acceptable salts thereof, wherein X, R1, R2, R3 and A are defined as in the description, and methods of their use to control pests that damage plants and crops and parasites that harm animals. Additionally disclosed are different insecticidal methods applying such compounds and compositions. Embodiments of the compound of formula I include the following: (5-chloro-thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-yl)-[(S)-1-(4-trifluoromethyl-sulfanyl-phenyl)-ethyl]-amine, and (5-chloro-thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-yl)-[1-(4-trifluoromethyl-sulfoxyl-phenyl)-ethyl]-amine.
