PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel insecticide and an insecticide tool having an aqueous gel as a base material and capable of exhibiting constantly insecticidal effect for a long period.SOLUTION: The gel insecticide is composed of an aqueous gel composition containing 0.1-5 wt.% of a gelling agent, 5-65 wt.% of glycerol, and an aqueous solvent and further an insecticide component. The insecticide tool has a constitution in which by filling the gel insecticide 1 in a flat shaped container 3 having an open top, the gel insecticide is exposed over the whole open surface 2 of the container.
