In a first aspect, an apparatus for exposing a substrate with EUV radiation is described herein which may comprise a target material a laser source generating a laser beam having a wavelength, λ, for irradiating the target material to generate EUV radiation, the laser beam defining a primary polarization direction at least one mirror reflecting the EUV radiation along a path to the substrate and a polarization filter disposed along the path filtering at least a portion of light having the wavelength, λ.La présente invention concerne, dans un premier aspect, un appareil permettant d’exposer un substrat à un rayonnement EUV. Ledit appareil peut comprendre les éléments suivants : un matériau cible une source laser générant un faisceau laser qui présente une longueur d’onde λ, destinée à irradier le matériau cible pour générer un rayonnement EUV, ledit faisceau laser définissant une direction de polarisation primaire au moins un miroir reflétant le rayonnement EUV le long d’un chemin menant au substrat et un filtre de polarisation disposé le long du chemin, filtrant au moins une partie de la lumière qui présente la longueur d’onde λ.
