PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure an operator's respiration frequency without troubling the operator.SOLUTION: In some examples, a respiration monitoring system generates an AC signal to one of a first sensor electrode and a second sensor electrode. For instance, the first sensor electrode is fitted to a seatbelt and located adjacent to the torso of a vehicle operator. Further, the second sensor electrode is positioned to be contacted by or proximate to another body part of the vehicle operator, such as at least one of an arm, hand, leg, or foot of the vehicle operator.
