Provided herein are collection devices for semen. The collection device may be a collection cup with an open top and a closed bottom with a collection cavity therewithin. The open top and closed bottom are oriented such that an angle θ greater than 0 degrees is formed by an intersection of a plane across the open top with a plane across the closed bottom.
