PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter capable of stably preparing a vasoconstriction model close to an actual stenosis while suppressing invasiveness to an animal.SOLUTION: A catheter includes: a catheter body 110 to be inserted to a blood vessel a balloon 120 provided on an outer peripheral surface of a distal portion of the catheter body 110, to be expanded in a centrifugal direction of the catheter body 110 and abutted to a blood vessel inner wall when a pressurized fluid is put in and a high frequency energizing electrode 130 provided on an outer surface of the balloon 120, for energizing a high frequency current to the blood vessel inner wall. Thus, just by expanding the balloon 120 of the catheter 100 inserted to a portion to form a stenosis and pressing the high frequency energizing electrode 130 which outputs the high frequency current to the blood vessel inner wall, a damage for inducing a thrombus can be given to the blood vessel inner wall. Further, since decline of an electrode temperature due to blood flow is prevented, the degree of the damage to be given to the blood vessel inner wall can be easily controlled according to the output degree of the current.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】動物に対する侵襲性を抑えつつ、実際の狭窄部に近い血管狭窄モデルを安定して作成することが可能なカテーテルを提供する。【解決手段】血管に挿入されるカテーテル本体110と、カテーテル本体110の遠位部の外周面に設けられ、加圧流体が入れられることによってカテーテル本体110の遠心方向に膨張し、血管内壁に当接するバルーン120と、バルーン120の外面に設けられ、高周波電流を血管内壁に通電するための高周波通電用電極130とを備える。これにより、狭窄を作成すべき部位に挿入されたカテーテル100のバルーン120を膨張させて、高周波電流を出力する高周波通電用電極130を血管内壁に押し当てるだけで、血栓を誘発するための損傷を血管内壁に与えることができる。さらに血流による電極温度の低下が防止されるため、血管内壁に与える損傷の度合いを、電流の出力度合いに応じて容易に制御することができる。【選択図】図1
