PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intravascular instrument with a new structure relating to an intravascular instrument to be inserted into an internal blood vessel for treating an affected part, a damaged part, or a weak part of a blood vessel wall.

SOLUTION: The intravascular instrument 10 to be inserted into an internal blood vessel 5 to treat an affected part, a damaged part, or a weak part of a blood vessel wall includes: a mechanically expandable instrument 11 which is expanded outward in the radial direction to make the outer periphery surface of the mechanically expandable instrument be in tight contact with the inner surface of the blood vessel to secure a blood vessel path and a membrane 40 to cover at least a part of the outer periphery surface of the mechanically expandable instrument which membrane 40 includes a plurality of pores with porosity decided by a ratio of material surface areas determined by sizes of the pores and distances between neighboring pores. The mechanically expandable instrument is kept in the internal blood vessel to cover at least an affected part of the blood vessel wall and disturb blood supply to the affected part, a damaged part, of a weak part of the blood vessel wall by the porosity of the membrane to promote curing of the blood vessel.
