A pet toy and shelter (10) is disclosed. An example pet toy and shelter may include a housing (100) with a passage (170) for a pet to enter and exit the housing. The housing may be assembled from a collapsed state and unassembled back to the collapsed state. The example pet toy and shelter may also include at least one fringe (200) for attachment to the housing adjacent to the passage to at least partially cover the passage while still enabling entry and exit of the pet through the passage.
