The present invention relates to the use of a specific composition of cannabidiol (CBD) in the treatment of comorbidities associated with epilepsy. In one embodiment the comorbidities are surprisingly found to be improved patients where there is as absence of reduction in seizures. The CBD used is in the form of a highly purified extract of cannabis such that the CBD is present at greater than 98% of the total extract (w/w) and the other components of the extract are characterised. In particular the cannabinoid tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is present in an amount of from 0.02 to 0.1% (w/w).La présente invention concerne l'utilisation d'une composition spécifique de cannabidiol (CBD) dans le traitement de comorbidités associées à l'épilepsie. Dans un mode de réalisation, les comorbidités sont étonnamment améliorées chez les patients dont les crises n'ont pas diminué. Le CBD utilisé se trouve sous forme d'extrait hautement purifié de cannabis de sorte que le CBD est présent à plus de 98 % de l'extrait total (p/p) et que les autres composants de l'extrait sont caractérisés. En particulier, le tétrahydrocannabinol (THC) cannabinoïde est présent dans une quantité de 0,02 à 0,1 % (p/p).
