The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for treating a skin disease by radiating a skin with ultraviolet rays having different wavelength ranges, wherein the apparatus radiates the skin with ultraviolet rays within a UVA wavelength range and ultraviolet rays within a UVB wavelength range, and includes a UV LED as a light source. As for the ultraviolet rays within the UVA wavelength range, the skin is radiated with ultraviolet rays having a peak wavelength between 315 nm and 400 nm, between 330 nm and 350 nm, or around 340 nm by a radiation amount equivalent to between 1 and 6 J/cm^2, between 2 and 5 J/cm^2, or around 2 J/cm^2. As for the ultraviolet rays within the UVB wavelength range, the skin is radiated with ultraviolet rays having a peak wavelength between 280 nm and 320 nm, between 300 nm and 320 nm, or around 310 nm by a radiation amount equivalent to between 10 and 50 mJ/cm^2, between 20 and 50 mJ/cm^2, or around 20 mJ/cm^2. The skin is sequentially or concurrently radiated with the ultraviolet rays within the UVA wavelength range and the ultraviolet rays within the UVB wavelength range.
