PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for concentrating a composition containing arylsulfatase A, and a use of such a concentrated composition for treating disease in mammals.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for concentrating/purifying a composition in which a composition containing arylsulfatase A and/or functional equivalent thereof or analog, which are obtained by recombinant expression or the like in a prokaryotic cell or a cultured vertebrate animal cell, is subjected to centrifugal separation and/or filtration, a supernatant or residue obtained is concentrated, and purification by one or a plurality of chromatography processes is performed.
