PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stick with an automatic brake and a stop wheel, the stick assisting an elderly person with weak grip strength and the like to secure safety and to walk easily and comfortably.SOLUTION: A wheel portion 4 is provided to a base portion 3 at the tip of a stick body 2. At the front and rear of the wheel portion, a front leg portion 5 and a rear leg portion 6 in the form of mudguard covers are provided. A front brake portion 5a to contact the ground when the stick body is in a vertical posture is provided to the front leg portion, and a front stop portion 5b connected to the front brake portion is provided. The front stop portion has a shape in which the tip thereof warped upward by 5 degrees so that the stick body contacts the ground in an inclined posture toward the front side to levitate the wheel portion. A rear brake portion 6a in a shape to contact the ground when the stick body is in an inclined posture to the backward by 30 degrees is provided to the rear leg portion, and a rear stop portion 6b in a shape connected to the rear brake portion is provided. The rear stop portion has a shape in which the tip thereof warped and inclined upward by 5 degrees so that the wheel portion is caused to become a levitated state when the stick body is in an inclined posture to the backward at more than 30 degrees.
