PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial knee joint wherein the bonding strength of a bonding surface with a mesh sheet laminate can be increased and it is made possible to uniformly grow a new bone in the porous layer of the mesh sheet laminate by accelerating guiding of the new bone produced in the marrow of a bone to the mesh sheet of the mesh sheet laminate.
SOLUTION: The artificial knee joint is provided with an artificial knee joint main body 10a formed of a Co-Cr alloy or a Co-Cr-Mo alloy and the mesh sheet laminate 12 formed by laminating a plurality of mesh sheets of titanium or a titanium alloy. For the mesh sheet laminate 12, the mesh sheet positioned on the side facing the artificial knee joint main body 10a is formed of the mesh sheet 14 for which an anodic oxide film is formed on side faces excluding both surfaces, a thin plate 16 of the titanium or the titanium alloy is arranged between the artificial knee joint main body 10a and the mesh sheet laminate 12, and the mesh sheet laminate 12 is connected to the artificial knee joint main body 10a by a diffusion bonding means.
