PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support apparatus and a support method, which enable an accurate support of an operation appliance.SOLUTION: A support apparatus includes: a brain activity analysis part 12 for analyzing a brain activity of a driver； a sight line analysis part 11 for analyzing a sight line of the driver； an operational intention detection part 13 for detecting an operational intention of the driver on the basis of the brain activity of the driver analyzed by the brain activity analysis part 12, a sight line movement amount of the driver analyzed by the sight line analysis part 11 and a historical operational behavior of the driver stored in an operational behavior database 25； and, further, an environment determination control part 27 for outputting, when the operational intention detection part 13 detects that there is an operational intention of the driver, a support instruction on the operational intention.
