There is provided a solid base material capable of preventing "sweating" over time, which is a particularly important property required for a stick-type solid base material for external application to skin, for example, for application to cosmetic products. A stick-type solid base material for external application to skin comprising a lipidic peptide compound comprising at least one of compounds of the following Formulae (1), the similar compounds thereof or pharmaceutically usable salts of the compounds, a surfactant, water, an oily base, and a saturated or unsaturated monohydric alcohol having a carbon atom number of 8 to 30:wherein R1 is a C9-23 aliphatic group; R2 is a hydrogen atom or a C1-4 alkyl group optionally having a C1 or C2 branched chain; and R3 is a -(CH2)n-X group, n is a number of 1 to 4, and X is an amino group, a guanidino group, a -CONH2 group, or a 5-membered ring or 6-membered ring optionally having one to three nitrogen atoms or a fused heterocyclic ring composed of the 5-membered ring and the 6-membered ring.
