The present invention is related to nanostructures for the vehiculation of gases and/or active ingredients and/or contrast agents having a diameter comprised between 200 nm and less than 1000 nm, characterized in that they comprise a liquid decafluoropentane core and a shell made of natural or synthetic polymeric material. Such nanostructures are suitable for use in the treatment of superficial tissue hypoxias as well as other pathologies or, in the case of contrast agent vehiculation, in the diagnosis of infectious or inflammatory or tumor diseases.
