A rotatable livestock brush has a rotation axis and a brush surface which is intended to be brought into contact with a contact region of the body of the livestock animal for transferring a varying pressure onto the body of the livestock animal. The brush surface includes a first region having first pressure-transfer properties, and a second region having second pressure-transfer properties which differ from the first pressure-transfer properties. A plane at right angles to the rotation axis intersects both the first region and the second region. Upon rotation of the brush, the brush massages the body of the livestock animal in the contact region thereof.
