PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which can recover a pulp fiber and a polymer absorber from a used sanitary article efficiently.SOLUTION: In an apparatus for recovery of a pulp fiber and a polymer absorber from a used sanitary article, the apparatus is configured in a manner that a treatment tank (2) contains an aqueous solution and is loaded with a used sanitary article, water injection means (4-8) inject water to the treatment tank at a first flow rate, aqueous solution discharge means (6,7',8') discharge the aqueous solution from the treatment tank at a second flow rate, and ozone-containing gas introduction means (3,10) treat the used sanitary article while introducing an ozone-containing gas to the aqueous solution, decompose a polymer absorber to lower molecular weight, and solubilize it.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
