A method for the production of fruit trees (2) including the steps of: grafting of an offshoot (8) or propagation material of the variety to be propagated on a grafting point of a rootstock (6), to form a tree, planting of the rootstock in a nursery, pot or greenhouse ground and subsequent transplanting of the developed tree in a production ground； wherein the planting takes place arranging the rootstock (6) tilted to one side to form with the ground an angle of pre-set amplitude, smaller than 90° and preferably of 45° and with the offshoot (8) in a substantially vertical position； in the transplanting step the rootstock (6) is arranged in the production ground in a substantially vertical position, so that the trunk (11) of the tree, which is angled in respect to the rootstock, forms a main side branch from which vine-like branches or side branches (19) orientated upwards sprout.L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'arbres fruitiers (2) comprenant les étapes consistant à: greffer une ramification (8) ou un matériau de propagation de la variété à propager sur un point de greffage d'un porte-greffe (6), pour former un arbre, planter le porte-greffe dans une pépinière, un pot ou une serre et transplanter ultérieurement l'arbre développé dans un champ de production； la plantation ayant lieu en agençant le porte-greffe (6) incliné vers un côté pour former avec le sol un angle d'amplitude prédéfinie, inférieur à 90° et de préférence de 45° et avec la ramification (8) dans une position sensiblement verticale； dans l'étape de transplantation, le porte-greffe (6) est disposé dans le champ de production dans une position sensiblement verticale, de telle sorte que le tronc (11) de l'arbre, qui est incliné par rapport au porte-greffe, forme une branche latérale principale à partir de laquelle des branches de type vigne ou des branches latérales (19) orientées vers le haut poussent.
