PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording ink which allows high image density to be obtained even on plain paper and exhibits excellent storage stability even if the content of a water-soluble organic solvent is high.SOLUTION: The inkjet recording ink contains water, a water-soluble organic solvent, a pigment, and a polymer containing a structural unit represented by general formula (1). In the general formula (1), Rrepresents either a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and Mrepresents at least one selected from an alkali metal ion, an organic amine ion, and a hydrogen ion.
