The present invention relates to methods and pharmaceutical compositions for reducing arterial stiffness in a human patient showing at least one symptom selected from increased pulse wave velocity (PWV) and increased pulse pressure (PP) comprising administration to said patient of a therapeutically effective amount or a prophylactically effective amount of a combination of a therapeutic agent blocking the angiotensin receptor and a therapeutic agent inhibiting the NEP enzyme, in particular of a combination of sacubitril or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and valsartan or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof in a 1:1 molar ratio.La présente invention concerne des procédés et des compositions pharmaceutiques permettant de réduire la rigidité artérielle chez un patient humain présentant au moins un symptôme choisi parmi une augmentation de vitesse dondes dimpulsion (VOI) et laugmentation de la pression dimpulsion (PI), comprenant ladministration audit patient dune quantité efficace au plan thérapeutique ou prophylactique dune combinaison dun agent thérapeutique bloquant le récepteur de langiotensine et dun agent thérapeutique inhibant lenzyme NEP, en particulier dune combinaison de sacubitril ou dun sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable de celui-ci et de valsartan ou dun sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable de celui-ci dans un rapport molaire de 1/1.
